Are you passionate about using data to drive strategic marketing decisions? We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst & Strategy (Marketing Focus) who will play a pivotal role in shaping our B2B marketing strategy. In this high-impact position, you will report to the VP of Operations and work as the strategic right-hand to our VP of Marketing. You’ll be the go-to expert for transforming data into insights, helping leadership make informed decisions that fuel business growth.

As part of our international Business Analysts team (covering Customer Experience, Sales, and Partners), you will collaborate across departments to provide a 360° view of our business. Your analyses and recommendations will directly influence top-of-funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, and overall marketing ROI. If you excel at finding clarity in complex data and want to make a real impact on a rapidly growing marketing team, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partner to Marketing: Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Marketing, translating data into strategy. Support high-level decision-making with clear analysis, particularly for B2B marketing initiatives and growth plans.
  • Data-Driven Planning: Drive business planning for the top of the funnel – analyze marketing campaigns, forecast outcomes, and measure impact on lead generation and revenue. Provide forward-looking insights on pipeline health and marketing ROI to guide strategic planning.
  • Reporting & Storytelling: Structure and cleanse large datasets using Excel and Power BI to uncover trends and insights. Develop compelling dashboards and reports that tell a story, highlight key findings, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Campaign Performance Analysis: Measure and evaluate campaign performance across channels, markets, and sources. Analyze critical KPIs (e.g. Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), lead volume, lead velocity, and conversion rates from visitor to MQL/SQL) to identify what’s working and what’s not. Use these insights to optimize channel mix and campaign strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Sales, CX, and Partner Management to ensure marketing strategies align with business objectives. Share insights on lead quality and conversion with Sales; coordinate with CX on customer feedback loops.
  • Executive Decision Support: Apply critical thinking to simplify complex problems – filter out noise and focus on the variables that matter. Prepare clear, persuasive presentations for senior leadership, enabling quick and effective decision-making. In essence, you’ll turn data into a narrative that drives action at the executive level.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Analytics & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power point for data analysis and visualization. Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for web/app analytics and HubSpot for CRM and marketing automation.
  • Data Management: Proven ability to structure, organize, and simplify messy data from multiple sources. Comfortable handling large data sets and ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Bonus Tools: Experience with BigQuery, AWS, or Data Lake environments is a plus (not mandatory but will be an advantage).

Experience & Competencies:

  • Strategic Analysis Experience: 3+ years in strategic business analysis, business strategy consulting, or similar analytical roles – ideally with a focus on B2B marketing or growth strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience working closely with senior executives (Director, VP level). You know how to communicate effectively with leadership, manage expectations, and drive cross-functional projects to completion.
  • Data Storytelling: Exceptional ability to present complex data findings in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner. Whether in a PowerPoint or live meeting, you can translate analytics into insights and recommendations that influence decision-makers.
  • Critical Thinking: A sharp analytical mindset with an eye for detail. You question assumptions, probe into data anomalies, and approach problems with structured thinking. You excel at distilling complexity into simple terms for others.
  • Proactive & Autonomous: Self-driven and proactive in identifying opportunities and potential issues. You take ownership of projects and can work independently with minimal guidance, all while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business and marketing fundamentals. You not only report numbers but also understand the “so what” — how insights impact business strategy, revenue, and customer experience.
