What You'll Be Doing:
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading the sales department, developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, and ensuring the company meets or exceeds its revenue goals. This executive will oversee all sales operations and strategy, including setting performance metrics, managing key client relationships and partnerships.
The VP of Sales will also collaborate closely with other departments—such as marketing, product development, partnerships and customer success—to ensure that sales strategies align with the broader business objectives. As part of the leadership team, the VP will be expected to contribute to the company's overall growth strategy and work closely with senior management to achieve both short-term and long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership:

Define and implement the company's sales strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Set clear revenue targets and sales goals across regions and segments, ensuring a scalable and sustainable approach to growth.

Lead and manage the entire sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align sales strategies with the company’s broader vision and financial objectives.
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:

Identify and pursue opportunities for new business development and market expansion.

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs, adjusting strategies accordingly.

Leverage existing relationships with key stakeholders to drive revenue, while also building new partnerships and sales channels.
Sales Operations & Performance Management:

Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring leads are properly managed and followed up on to drive high conversion rates.

Establish and monitor KPIs (key performance indicators) and other performance metrics to track the success of sales initiatives and individual performance.

Continuously refine the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure cross-departmental coordination to support sales initiatives.
Team Development & Leadership:

Support in Recruiting, Training, and Developing a high-performance sales team, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, encouraging creativity and the sharing of best practices across teams.

Promote the professional development of team members by identifying opportunities for growth, training, and advancement.
Client Relations & Key Accounts:

Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and strategic partners to nurture business and customer loyalty.

Act as a trusted advisor to major accounts, understanding their business challenges and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise brand visibility and generate new business.
Key Qualifications Experience:

10-15+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as VP of Sales or Director of Sales.

Demonstrated success in leading and scaling sales teams in a high-growth environment.

Strong background in strategic sales leadership, including territory management, revenue forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience in SaaS, B2B will be highly preferred.
Leadership & Management Skills:

Proven ability to inspire, lead, and mentor teams, with a focus on building a culture of high performance.

Strong understanding of sales best practices, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing.

Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategies for business growth, market penetration, and customer retention.

Experience in managing a multi-layered sales team, including field sales, inside sales, and sales operations functions.
Technical & Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Strong financial acumen, with experience managing sales budgets and delivering on revenue targets.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, both within the company and with external stakeholders.

Skilled in negotiation and closing complex deals.
