Hello! 👋🏽

At Factorial we're looking for a Mid/Senior Software Developer to help us to help us boost the company to the next level. 🦄 Ready to be part of the challenge?🚀

The Role 📜

We are looking for a Software developer driven by business. You will be working in growth projects related with finance.

For example, integrating new payment methods to unblock new customers, improving the way we adjust seats or automating finance manual processes.

You’ll be close to business metrics to analyse the impact of your decisions and solutions.

We are not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. We believe that someone who has good aptitudes and is hungry for learning is what works best.

Most of our growth projects are built in Ruby on Rails. We also use React and TypeScript. But as we said, consider applying even if you know better other technologies (we think this can be also enrichment for the team).

What we are looking for

  • You are a team player and great communicator: You are comfortable helping your teammates, sharing your knowledge,  and asking for reviews of your own.
  • You can work with problems and not just with requirements. We are looking for executors and thinkers, not just executors.
  • You are a learner: you want to improve your skills
  • You are an owner and critic: You like proposing new hypotheses and be responsible for building, deploying, and validating them.
  • You love understanding: Breaking down complex problems into basic and shareable elements and you have evolved concrete implementations into abstractions before.
  • You must be comfortable with English communication.
  • The annual salary is 38k-52k euros for the Mid level and 52k-70k for the Senior level.

Independently of the requirements, we encourage you to apply if you are interested in the job position. The list above it's just a starting point of our conversations, but that doesn't mean we won't hire you if you don't have one of the skills. We hire for talent.

At Factorial we don't evaluate you by the years of experience you have, we evaluate your knowledge and skills. How are we doing it?

We have a Career Path with a rubric framework where we define what is expected for each experience level and skill we're evaluating. This framework will allow you to know at which level you're right now and what you need to continue growing in the company.

As we love transparency (it's one of our hiring values), our Career Path includes the salaries for each level and we share it during the first interview to make sure we're aligned.

We're a remote-friendly company so you can apply from anywhere in the world, which English is our official language so this is the only one you need to succeed at Factorial!

Perks of being part of our team

1. High growth, multicultural and friendly environment 🤝🏽

2. Flexible schedules!

3. Full remote flexibility 🏠

4. Language classes with Yolk Academy & Factorial Language exchange

Process & Next Steps ✅

We know applying for a job takes time, that's why we want to make the experience as better and fast as we can!

  1. Hiring Manager Interview (1h) The first thing is to know each other and give you the chance to ask any questions you have about Factorial. Take this interview as an informal conversation, so don't be nervous. You can ask anything you want!
  2. Challenge (8h max.) We need to validate your knowledge and estimate your level before joining Factorial. The challenge is pretty simple, we will evaluate your coding process, your ability to write clean code, your ability to analyze and test your solution, and your capacity to prioritize the project and your decisions.
  3. Presentation (1h) Once you finish the challenge, we'll do a second interview with the rest of the team to present your challenge and ask you different questions about your decision-making.
  4. Offer Letter If everything plays out, we'll make you a formal offer based on all the steps above.
