Let’s be clear: this is not a traditional software engineering role where you just clear Jira backlogs. We operate like a fast-paced, autonomous startup—but the products we build already have hundreds of demanding, daily active users relying on them to hit their revenue targets.
Our mandate is to hunt down internal frictions, conceptualize innovative solutions, and build the end-to-end product from scratch. You will be an active participant in product discovery, building entire ecosystems that drive real business value for Factorial's Account Management and Customer Support teams.

The Role: The Hybrid Engineer We are looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Innovation Engineer (Mid 1 / Mid 2) to join our squad. This role is a unique hybrid: you are part Innovation Engineer (building net-new features) and part Site Reliability Guardian (ensuring the platform never goes down).


As our AI-driven models scale and the CX Workspace becomes the central operational hub for hundreds of internal users, the technical stakes are incredibly high. You will be responsible for the deliverability and scalability of the platform. You will build exciting new features, but your ultimate technical ownership will be ensuring our infrastructure performs flawlessly under heavy data loads.

🛠️ What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
Part 1: Protecting the House (Reliability & Scalability)

  • Site Reliability (SRE): Take ultimate ownership of the uptime, deliverability, and performance of the CX Workspace for hundreds of concurrent users.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Light DevOps: Manage our deployments within the Azure ecosystem. You will maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, implement caching (Redis), and optimize database queries to prevent latency.

  • Data Flow Stability: Own the automated data pipelines bridging our Hub to the Data Gateway and HubSpot, ensuring zero-latency, rate-limit-conscious transfers.

Part 2: Building the Future (Innovation & Product)

  • End-to-End Product Development: Build, maintain, and ship high-performance frontend interfaces using Next.js and robust backend microservices using NestJS.

  • Problem Solving & Ideation: Participate in identifying workflow frictions. Help conceptualize the technical solutions and turn those ideas into fully functional internal products.

  • Iterative Innovation: Participate in rapid prototyping. We build, we test with real users (Directors and AMs), and we iterate fast based on their feedback.

📖 What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development, with a proven track record of supporting live platforms with active user bases.

  • The Core Stack: Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (SQL and Python are a strong plus).

  • Frontend: Practical experience building responsive, server-side rendered (SSR) web applications using Next.js (React).

  • Backend: Solid understanding of Node.js, specifically using the NestJS framework to build scalable server-side applications.

  • Scalability & Infra: Practical knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred). You know how to design systems that don't break when user volume spikes.

  • Integrations: Direct experience building custom integrations with third-party APIs (HubSpot experience is a massive advantage).
